Photos From Robin L.

I received these photos from Robin today via email as she could not post them directly to the blog.

These are so exciting!  As you read in the previous post, she has been a vert busy and dedicated woman.

Here are her amazing recent photos to prove part of this:

Look at Robin's progress on Lauren's Mistress L Sampler.
You have been very busy; I have only stitched about 1/4 of that.
Beautiful, Robin.

Robin's work on the recent Merry Cox Project...
I think from Williamsburg in December!
Amazing.
Beautiful work Robin.  Thanks for sharing.

Happy New Year to everyone!

I am on row 21 of Lauren's beautiful sampler.  Took a quick break over Christmas and actually finished my Merry Cox piece from Christmas in Williamsburg.  Will show pics as soon as I can get some.  I actually finished the Merry Cox project due to a small break in college teaching and  my dissertation. I sure could get a lot more stitching done if I didn't teach and finished my dissertation.  LOL

Completed 15 interviews for my dissertation, need 20.  Hope to catch up with the final ones next week.  Say good thoughts and prayers that I get this done soon.

Hope everyone has a wonderful new year!

Robin

Hi, Long Lost Stitching Friends.

Happy New Year from your long lost stitching/blogging friend.

OK, enough of this totally ignoring my blogs.  This one is the first I have come to to try to revive again, because we have had so many wonderful samplers and other projects come our way since the last post on this poor little blog.  I probably won't have time to post any pix today, but wanted to try to get some activity going here.

I know some of my close buds and I have been in kind of a stitching low gear lately.  Too many other activities have taken some of our precious time like the holidays, playing with new iPads, knitting, etc.  I am looking at starting a couple of quilt projects in the near future...something I haven't done for about 8 years.  It's just hard to find all the time and energy.

Many of my local friends and members of Western Reserve Sampler Guild took Lauren Sauer's class in November for her big 2012 sampler which she calls, "Mistress L's Sampler of Bands, Emblems & Motifs".  It is a beauty.  Something like 36 inches long.  Oh my!  I have made a pathetic start on it, but I've heard that some friends...maybe Kim, Robin, to name a few... have had much more success with their starts.  We would love to hear from you, and better yet, see your photos here.  Please post.  Please email me to request "permission" to be able to create your own posts and include your pictures here if you want to do more than comment.

I know Linda was planning to start a big new sampler on January 1 with some of her Canton area friends and the Ellen Chester SAL.  Please tell us who that we know is joining you in this SAL and if you did get started.

A couple of us had been going full steam ahead on the Dorothy Walpole Sampler, but for various reasons have stumbled on that.  I really hope to get back to Dorothy very soon.

What else is happening?  Let us know.

Happy 2013.
