I had a chance to see a couple of the "mystery samplers" in progress yesterday at WRSG. The sightings included a couple of stitched Indigo Buntings, which I must say looked really nice with the tree/leaf colors. I really don't know what to do about the birds now, but I'm putting the cart before the horse, since I haven't even finished part one yet. I really hope to get back to this project this week.
I talked to a woman from Findlay yesterday. They have a group of eight over there who are getting together to stitch on this project. If any of you find us here, we'd love to hear about your progress and any related stories, and have you share photos if you would like.
Beautiful day today...like days in June should be. Enjoy!

I was sorry not to make it on Saturday. Just crazy busy here. I did, however, finish my second part of the mystery sampler.

You go, girl! You started out as a sleeper in this, but are now leading the pack...as far as I know. I'm still working on part one, but at least I worked on it yesterday.
ReplyDeleteDo you like your birds?
I HAVE A CORNER MOLDING FOR THE GROUP TO CHECK OUT. MY FRIEND THE PAINTER SAID TO DO THE FRAME IN A BLUE (IB COLOR) RATHER THAN THE GREEN. I'LL TRY TO FIND COLORS FOR YOU TO LOOK AT. I AM WORKING ON THE TREE TRUNK. WAY TO GO ROBIN. YOU GOT RELEASED FROM THE COMPUTER AND WENT WILD!
ReplyDeleteYes, I do. I like the blue colors (But then I am a blue person). I used Cappuccino for the lettering, as I didn't like how the sage blended in. The jury is still out on whether I like it or not.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it. I think the blue would be nice. Thanks.

Wow, cappuccino alphabet! Can't wait to see that. I'm still behind and still undecided. Sounds like the story of my life. 8-)
